Locally volunteer run poppy appeal in Hitchin & surrounding Parishes

from the poem "For the Fallen" by Laurence Binyon
Every poppy shows you care about the lives of our Armed Forces community.
We need Volunteers to collect at Waitrose and Sainsbury supermarkets as well as colleting around Hitchin town centre, this can be 1 hour or 5 hours, anytime you have free. Hitchin Poppy appeal will be there to support you.
As a symbol of remembrance for not only of the fallen soldiers but also to commemorate the sacrifices of veterans in all conflicts, poppy wreaths are laid to show respect.
The Royal British Legion is working hard to support the most vulnerable in our society, be it older veterans that we care for, those who suffer from social isolation, or those who are simply overwhelmed by the challenges associated with the cost-of-living crisis.
We can only continue to provide these services with your help.
No donation is too small to make a difference, so please donate today.
Thank you. We really couldn't do it without you.
